summer semester 15

These are the results from the summer semester 2015. The seminar was split into 3 projects.

  1. algorithmic pattern generator
  2. slime mold
  3. motor poster

You can find all the results, videos, links, source code and images below.Take a closer look at the projects from:

Laura Russ, Christopher Klement, Fabian Dinklage, Johannes Leick, Jonas Köpfer, Joseph Ribbe, Paul Roemer, Liesa Maerevoet, Frederic Haase, Lukas Schmidt-Wiegand and Christian Pflug.

It will be fun. We promise .

Algorithm

The task was to create an algorithm for humans and execute it several times. Iterate through the results and refine the pseudo-code. Afterwards the algorithm was ported to the Processing programming language and improved. Finally the students needed to find a use case for their algorithms.

Slime Mold

This thing not animal not plant has a will of his own. The task was to explore the possibilities of interacting with this creature. Can its behavior trigger an input? Using openCV we analyzed how this little creeper interacts with his environment

Motor Poster

The aim was to develop a human computer interaction that takes a passive input. No button press no touching. Just the presence of a person in front of the object is enough to trigger an event.
